For live events / conferences / concerts / awards ceremonies we can provide live cameras, vision mixing and projections.
From early on in the planning stages of your event you need to think about what your screens will show and when. Presentations, logo loops and title screens must be planned well in advance. We can help design your screens and work with you to make your show run smoothly. Your event can be also be recorded and edited later for promotional uses.

Video Installations & Lighting Projects
Another part of our business is providing video and unusual light installations for corporate events. We have two 5 foot cubes that we can turn into gifts and have displayed them either side of the stage at Easterbrook for the Christmas Events in 2016 as well as suspending them above the stage for the Christmas cabaret show 2017.
House of Imagination - YouthBeatz Fringe Festival
For part of the ‘House of Imagination’ project for The Peter Pan Trust at Moat Brae House in Dumfries. It was for the launch of the Trust's Youth Forum and they were looking for an alternative experience in the basement of the house. As it was a dark set of rooms we were asked to fill them with various video projections that had some relevance to the house and the story of Peter Pan. We had come up with the idea of a floating picture gallery but instead of still images we manipulated the images to add video backgrounds and aspects to each one. It was an unusual project that we have since repeated for Moat Brae.
JMB Creatives at TheatRE Royal
In August 2017 building renovation work had begun on Moat Brae but The Peter Pan Trust wished to keep the project going with a video installation at the Theatre Royal in Dumfries to launch the 'JMB Creatives' youth forum. We transformed the studio at the theatre into the bow of the Jolly Rodger with sea, lanterns and bubbles.
One Art Please Project
PurpleBox Productions were asked by Dumfries and Galloway College to provide an installation for a ‘dark space’ in Moat Brae during the HND Art and Design end of year show.
This installation consists of photo flash umbrellas and video projection and was an experiment (for us) in making video masks. Various pieces of video from our own archive, found and stock video clips are used to create the piece. The mask was digitally ‘painted’ onto the umbrellas using paint software some days before then superimposed over the edited video track to remove the video from the surrounding walls.
The ambient music accompanying the installation includes extracts from the albums “Sounds from a Dying Village”, “Osaeris – The White Cube” and “Six Notes Part 3”.
This is the short promotional video from the two days that shows the students work and our installation.
