Wiseman - Sticks & Stones

Sticks and Stones are a local band here in Dumfries and we had the privilege of working with them to create their music video for their track 'Wiseman' which is a single from their album 'Into the Wild'. We managed to use another one of our 'secret' locations for a number of hours so we had to go into the shoot knowing exactly what we wanted to do. As usual we don't work with storyboards just a list of shots and understanding band members, who were warned that there would be a lot of hanging around...luckily they were so good and it was a fantastic day that we needed no additional light (other than the fairy lights for effect). A bit of tech stuff...we used 2 Sony NEX VG-20e cameras, both shoulder mounted with one swapping out to a tripod when needed. Each camera had a Nikon lens, a 35mm and a 50mm which gives a great photographic portrait look to some of the shots.
